We FINALLY heard where we're headed. I feel like I've been waiting for years, since we thought we'd know last Wednesday, then Monday.....but we heard.
SAN ANTONIO! It was definitely not expected, but I am SO excited!!!! We'll only be 5 hours from Les and 8 from Becky until they move to Spokane, which might be before we even get to Texas, who knows.
Jason is so excited to be going somewhere with so many college football teams. One of the first things he did was look up the colleges around San Antonio.
There's a Sea World in San Antonio! I've never been, but I'm so excited to take the kids. Becky also told me they have a Six Flags. Anyone feel welcome to come visit! :)
The famous Riverwalk I've heard about from a few people I've told. Not too thrilled about the Spurs, but still...we're going to live somewhere there is a NBA team! We'll have to check out the basement of the Alamo.
HISTORY
A Little History:
Our story begins in Pocatello, Idaho, circa 1972, when the lovely Debby Christensen agreed to a first, though fateful date with admirer, David Croshaw. Long story-short, he bade her follow him, and they went arm-in-arm to the Logan, Utah temple for establishment of an eternal family unit, Generation 1, on May 23 1973.
From their first blissful summer in Salt Lake City, educational pursuits took them to Provo/Orem, Utah, birthplace of Leslie and Rebecca, and to San Francisco/Oakland California, birthplace of Colin and Matt. Then, for establishment of livelihood, expansion of the tribe with Abby and Dana, and for raising/unifying of Generation 2, it was back to the roots in Pocatello for a rewarding sojourn.
In time, driven by a raging, but commonly shared sense of adventure and independence, one-by-one, Generation 2 escaped the homeland to distant regions of the country and the world, each ultimately developing their own tribal expansions by pairing with worthy mates and initiating Generation 3.
Now sensing fulfillment of their purpose in Pocatello, Generation 1 has also left those roots and transplanted to Cascade Idaho, from which base, they anticipate more abundant contact with The Posterity, Generations 2 and 3, in the future. That contact however, awaits fulfillment of a call to LDS missionary service in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, wherein they hope to help the state of the world by sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
So now, including Generation 0 (Grandma and Grandpa Christensen) home base includes Yuma, Arizona, Pocatello, Idaho, Cascade, Idaho, Vancouver, BC, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Spokane, Washington, Boise, Idaho, Los Angeles, California, back to Boise, Idaho, and on and on (Generation 3+) to infinity.
Our Mission Statement:
This is the blog of our eternal family unit. Initiated years ago, it served well as a journal, but even more so, as an archive of our personal interaction. It was a gathering place, a confabulation instrument, a unifying force for four generations of widely dispersed and progressively prolific posterity, and their valued associates. Though it served these purposes well for many years, it eventually took a back seat to new-kids-on-the-block, Facebook, and Instagram, and was sadly forgotten.
We now move to resurrect this blog with an added functional purpose of archiving the missionary experiences of Generation 1, of their movements and activities as they participate with The Gathering of Israel in the land northward. In so doing, we hope that via their own comments and posts, this blog will again serve to gather and unify the posterity and their friends.
As in the past, that the young and vibrant may know the old and tired, that enduring bonds may be fostered and maintained, that experience and encouragement may be openly shared, that posterity may embrace truth, and that hearts may be knit together, we must resist detachment despite our geographic divergence. We shall do so here.

Yay for Texas!!! I am totally coming out to visit. Becky, stay there until Dana moves so we can all get together, at the same time!!
Alex, I already found that outlet mall online!! It was one of the first things I looked up!
We're looking at Northwest SA because it's where Jason's office will be, so picking you guys up in Austin would be less than 1 hour drive!
Abby, I can't wait for you to come visit! Haha.
Congratulations! It has to be such a relief to know where you are headed. When will you be moving there? It is going to be a fun, hot adventure!
Abby, you could fly to Tulsa we could drive down together (I could use some help with the kids :) That would be so fun to get together with Les and Alex there, too!!
That is awesome! I have never been to Texas outside of airports, but I would love to visit (you guys) some time. Ironically, I sent you something for the baby that will, in fact, be perfect ;-) earlier this week.
That's great that you finally know. I totally envy you.
If you guys become Spurs fans though, I will be forced to disown you. Just kidding. But not really.
Colin
when is the big move to the Lonestar state going to take place? Have you ever been out of Idaho?
This will be a fun move for certain, that Riverwalk looks fantastic!
The only thing we really know is that it's San Antonio. Jason's boss knew he (and by him I mean me) was dying to know so she told him. The details won't be figured out until Monday or Tuesday next week.....but I'll keep you all updated! Most likely the end of May or beginning of June.
Becky, I would do that! Just the other day I was feeling bad that I'd never seen Tulsa's house. Now's my chance, I guess. Dana, For sure let us know as soon as you know some dates. Although you don't need me to tell you that, of course you will.
Hey everyone, look what I found:
