HISTORY

A Little History:
Our story begins in Pocatello, Idaho, circa 1972, when the lovely Debby Christensen agreed to a first, though fateful date with admirer, David Croshaw. Long story-short, he bade her follow him, and they went arm-in-arm to the Logan, Utah temple for establishment of an eternal family unit, Generation 1, on May 23 1973.

From their first blissful summer in Salt Lake City, educational pursuits took them to Provo/Orem, Utah, birthplace of Leslie and Rebecca, and to San Francisco/Oakland California, birthplace of Colin and Matt. Then, for establishment of livelihood, expansion of the tribe with Abby and Dana, and for raising/unifying of Generation 2, it was back to the roots in Pocatello for a rewarding sojourn.

In time, driven by a raging, but commonly shared sense of adventure and independence, one-by-one, Generation 2 escaped the homeland to distant regions of the country and the world, each ultimately developing their own tribal expansions by pairing with worthy mates and initiating Generation 3.

Now sensing fulfillment of their purpose in Pocatello, Generation 1 has also left those roots and transplanted to Cascade Idaho, from which base, they anticipate more abundant contact with The Posterity, Generations 2 and 3, in the future. That contact however, awaits fulfillment of a call to LDS missionary service in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, wherein they hope to help the state of the world by sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

So now, including Generation 0 (Grandma and Grandpa Christensen) home base includes Yuma, Arizona, Pocatello, Idaho, Cascade, Idaho, Vancouver, BC, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Spokane, Washington, Boise, Idaho, Los Angeles, California, back to Boise, Idaho, and on and on (Generation 3+) to infinity.

Our Mission Statement:
This is the blog of our eternal family unit. Initiated years ago, it served well as a journal, but even more so, as an archive of our personal interaction. It was a gathering place, a confabulation instrument, a unifying force for four generations of widely dispersed and progressively prolific posterity, and their valued associates. Though it served these purposes well for many years, it eventually took a back seat to new-kids-on-the-block, Facebook, and Instagram, and was sadly forgotten.

We now move to resurrect this blog with an added functional purpose of archiving the missionary experiences of Generation 1, of their movements and activities as they participate with The Gathering of Israel in the land northward. In so doing, we hope that via their own comments and posts, this blog will again serve to gather and unify the posterity and their friends.

As in the past, that the young and vibrant may know the old and tired, that enduring bonds may be fostered and maintained, that experience and encouragement may be openly shared, that posterity may embrace truth, and that hearts may be knit together, we must resist detachment despite our geographic divergence. We shall do so here.

Three down, nine to go

Just have to say that I couldn't be happier about the way AI turned out tonight. I thought David and the Grace girl were the best, and I really wanted Michael, the rough neck. What do y'all think?

MICHAEL JOHNS WAS ON THE SHOW!!! I was so excited about that. And did you hear, his album comes out in May, if anyone is wondering what to get me for my birthday...hehe. I was so surprised that Michael made it and Anoop didn't!! I did not expect that.
I'm not surprised that Tatiana didn't make it, you know she's Vote For the Worsts pick this year, but when that person only has to beat 1 other person to stay on the show it's not so hard to keep them on. This was such a drastic cut she didn't really have a chance.
And can you believe next weeks group!??! There are at least 4 that I think should be in the top 12. Megan (LOVED her from SLC), Matt Giraud, Adam Lambert, NORMUND GENTLE! Everybody should pick up their phones for him next week.

I was HAPPY about Danny and Alexis too and happy for Michael, but his song was really terrible. Even when he re-sung it, but I am all about giving a guy a chance. He personally needs to thank Simon. It was Simon saying that he hoped America voted him through that inspired many to vote for him. I am glad Tatiana did not go on, but in all honesty, she is a good singer. I was glad about the results, though Anoop is an excellent singer. Thinking back to last year's first "vote off's" It was the guy from Staunton- Colton- and the icky curly haired guy. They were BAD Anoop was NOT bad. I am not so sure about this new system, but I think it is to bring $$ and ratings into fox by getting people interacting at this stage. And... there are still 24 to go before we are at top 12. I am betting Tatiana gets pulled back up.

I honestly, at this point just fast forward through most of the show. Yay DVR.

But did anyone catch Top Chef?! YAY CARLA winning and making a non-alcoholic cocktail in New ORleans!!

Was Carla the one that I saw in a preview tons of times wearing a BYU t-shirt?

I think that the right people made it through. It was a toss up for me between Anoop and Michael and I totally agree with you Crystal, it is all because of Simon that Michael made it. How about Tatiana for being a poor loser!! I think it threw everyone for a loop when she wasn't acting all crazy-probably had the AI producers scrambling, they were probably counting on that!!

Also, yea Carla!! LOVE her!! She was always my fave, I'm so glad Stephan didn't win!! I never saw her wearing a BYU shirt, you might be thinking about that girl that was on the Next Food Network Star (was she blond and bubbly?). She was mormon and went to BYU, did a cooking show there...

Does anyone know why my blog shows up blank with no posts on it when I log on? I can get the posts to show up if I click on the February link, but nothing when I log on. Any ideas??

Mine was doing it too! I noticed yours last night and it is fixed now. I was FREAKING when I say mine because so much of "me" is on there... I really need to print it off from the beginning till now one day...

Also, it looked blank on Safari but not on Firefox for me.

I DESPISE Stephan!

I love Carla and I hope she wins! That girl cracks me up. She is so much like my best friend Tiffany that it weirds me out! They even make the same expressions!
