HISTORY
A Little History:
Our story begins in Pocatello, Idaho, circa 1972, when the lovely Debby Christensen agreed to a first, though fateful date with admirer, David Croshaw. Long story-short, he bade her follow him, and they went arm-in-arm to the Logan, Utah temple for establishment of an eternal family unit, Generation 1, on May 23 1973.
From their first blissful summer in Salt Lake City, educational pursuits took them to Provo/Orem, Utah, birthplace of Leslie and Rebecca, and to San Francisco/Oakland California, birthplace of Colin and Matt. Then, for establishment of livelihood, expansion of the tribe with Abby and Dana, and for raising/unifying of Generation 2, it was back to the roots in Pocatello for a rewarding sojourn.
In time, driven by a raging, but commonly shared sense of adventure and independence, one-by-one, Generation 2 escaped the homeland to distant regions of the country and the world, each ultimately developing their own tribal expansions by pairing with worthy mates and initiating Generation 3.
Now sensing fulfillment of their purpose in Pocatello, Generation 1 has also left those roots and transplanted to Cascade Idaho, from which base, they anticipate more abundant contact with The Posterity, Generations 2 and 3, in the future. That contact however, awaits fulfillment of a call to LDS missionary service in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, wherein they hope to help the state of the world by sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
So now, including Generation 0 (Grandma and Grandpa Christensen) home base includes Yuma, Arizona, Pocatello, Idaho, Cascade, Idaho, Vancouver, BC, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Spokane, Washington, Boise, Idaho, Los Angeles, California, back to Boise, Idaho, and on and on (Generation 3+) to infinity.
Our Mission Statement:
This is the blog of our eternal family unit. Initiated years ago, it served well as a journal, but even more so, as an archive of our personal interaction. It was a gathering place, a confabulation instrument, a unifying force for four generations of widely dispersed and progressively prolific posterity, and their valued associates. Though it served these purposes well for many years, it eventually took a back seat to new-kids-on-the-block, Facebook, and Instagram, and was sadly forgotten.
We now move to resurrect this blog with an added functional purpose of archiving the missionary experiences of Generation 1, of their movements and activities as they participate with The Gathering of Israel in the land northward. In so doing, we hope that via their own comments and posts, this blog will again serve to gather and unify the posterity and their friends.
As in the past, that the young and vibrant may know the old and tired, that enduring bonds may be fostered and maintained, that experience and encouragement may be openly shared, that posterity may embrace truth, and that hearts may be knit together, we must resist detachment despite our geographic divergence. We shall do so here.

I thought David Cook was the best, by far!! I think that he is my new favorite. I thought everyone did pretty well this week, even Kristi. I really don't like Jason Castro or Ramielle, I think that Ramielle will go this week, but I haven't been right much! I really think that Simon doesn't like Carly. I thought that she did so good, she is probably my other favorite. David Archuleta has such an amazing voice, he did really well this week and I totally agreed with Randy and Simon about Brooke, she should've just played the piano without the band for the whole song. I'm kindof sad that Amanda isn't there, she wasn't my favorite, but she was different and she was definitely better than Ramielle and Kristi!
I think David Cook is my favorite, too. He's more my style. Although I really like Carly too, and I don't know why all the judges are out to get her. I thought she did awesome. I think it was a real cheap shot for Kristi to sing a patriotic song. Who can say anything bad about a patriotic song without looking anti-American?! And I still think Jason needs to go. He's just so boring. Lark, Susie, Dana, and I all agreed that he looked stoned on the show tonight. Anyone else?
My 2 favorites were Michael Johns and David Cook. I didn't like David Cook at first, but he keeps doing so good that I'm starting to like him!!! This week he was SOOO good!!! Carly was great as usual also! David A was good...but it was a little boring. His performance didn't keep my attention like it did last week.
I think Jason should go soon. His song was so boring, but I don't think he will. It SHOULD be Kristy Lee, as it always should be. What did you guys think of Syesha scoffing Simon when he said she has limits to her voice. Sure of herself much?? Geez laweez!
Val and I just watched last night's episode- I was asleep by 7 last night... fun life of me. I am actually not sure what Valerie had for dinner. I suck.
I liked just about everyone, but fast-forwarded through Chikezie and David Castro. I am not into R&B at all (unless it is Boyz to Men) and David is just too... hippie? Rasta? for my taste, though I have liked some of his songs.
I think that Kristy's song choice was ingenious, she did great with it and... it reminded me a lot of when Dominique Mocianeu did tumbling to "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" during the 96 Atlanta Olympics. It was smart, and after all... she IS trying to stay on the show.
Did not like the David A song at all, Simon was right on with it. I wonder if the "I bet you did not choose that" comment was directed toward stage dad.
I LOVED Carly's Total Eclipse of the Heart (one of my favorites) and I think if she had felt better, Ramielle would have rocked "Alone" which Carly did much better (another favorite).
I am definitely growing to like David C and I see the charm of Michael too... I like David best of the two.
I have no idea who will be going home. Or who will be in the bottom three, they really all are wonderful performers.
ok, just watched idol. my choice for bottom three are ramielelelel, jason castro or chikeze. i think carly is incredible, but i have to admit the tatoo is a big distraction for me. david cook, incredible, and i even liked kristy lee cook. surprized me. does syesha have a following? her song was very good. am waiting with baited breath--is that a reference to fishing?--for the show tonight.
Okay Crystal, about the dinner thing, you don't suck...on the nights I work my kids and husband eat either frozen pizza, curly pasta with butter, or cheese quesadillas. Seriously, they rotate between those 3 things. I think I win the crappy cooking mom award...
