A Sweet Reading Treat.
This link goes to a really funny blog. The particular one this leads to is a riot but there are others that are funny too.

Add to my List....

... So it is 6:48 pm. In the midst of text Matt how to make chili, grading a pile of papers and hoping to leave in time to meet Valerie, Matt and Asher at Young Women, I got a call from a number I did not recognize, but that was local.
It was the Dr I saw Friday. For all his annoyances, he found something. He did 800 blood tests and found that in addition to everything else fun, I also contracted, at some unknown time, Lyme Disease. Excellent.
I have been feeling REALLY badly for over a year now and have had no insurance till Sept 1. I am very glad I went to the new Dr in town because he found something and did not just treat me for "pain," which is really, really annoying. So now... how long? What can be done? What damage has taken place?
IS there any way to even know?
Blah. I have high levels of IgM and IgG which is confusing... but remember my fun with autoimmunity, to me, it is not a cause of confusion. I think this is a long-term infection because I would have remembered the signs... but then again... garments are pretty concealing if I had "the rash" in a place that is normally covered...
So, 60 days of antibiotics and hoping for the best, but the arthritic and fatigue suggests that this is not something that will ever go away. But I am ok. I really am... I did find out that it is extremely high here in these parts. Awesome.
Prayers please, and while we are on it... We really need prayers about our house. It is worth 70000$ less than it was 3 years ago and we are trying to get a loan modification to cover that, it needs to pass, otherwise we will HAVE to forclose. I can not afford the house payment on my own, it is 75% of my take-home pay. If we get a modification, it will put it in the same exact numbers that a rental would cost. I love my house, to me, my house is very important. I do not want to foreclose, but I realize most (all?) that have had that happen did not "want" it either, so... meekness on my part is what I need as well.
Anyway, I am ok. Just shaken up, I am waiting for the boils now... Sort of like Job... oh wait, I have them. :-) all over my hands. hah hah ;-)

Hi-larious
The blog has been a little vacant lately. Here's something I found and had to watch repeatedly. Tell me what you think.

Great Quote
I just read this quote by Ezra Taft Benson.
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums.
The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."
The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."
I love this so much. I know that I am flawed and terribly imperfect. I am selfish and human. But I have so much hope and faith that through Jesus Christ my nature can be changed. It is a lifelong process but one that I am so grateful for.
