When it wasn't 95, it was 85 or 90. It was insane-- I was having a hard time believing it was really December-- especially when I almost froze my patooty off when I was here last December. The weather really is crazy.

The pictures were really fun to look at-- all of the girls looked so happy, especially Valerie. Glad you had such a good time. I wish we all lived closer so we could see /participate in those kinds of things in person.Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10131083289337049412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1113767935196076705.post-77807083262153983002007-12-13T04:27:00.000-07:002007-12-13T04:27:00.000-07:00I wish that warm would have lasted- by the end of ...I wish that warm would have lasted- by the end of the day, it was cold again... It is interesting about the ice, my mom just got electricity back after 4 days of none and my grandmother still has none so she is staying with my uncle.

We are going there, if all goes well, Saturday. I am SO EXCITED to see my family! I have not seen most of them in so long... and my brother, Jason, I have not seen since 1999.

The girls loved the runway, they came out and did a "fashion show" for about 2 hours. First in PJs then in church clothes. Then we made bath salts and everyone tried out the jacuzzi, then... well, it was a busy night after a busy day, but I can truly say that Valerie was happy. That was my goal.

Interesting aside- it took Matt all day to lay the red wrapping paper out and put lights down the border. (I was not here, if I was, I would have stepped in and done it myself). The reaction when we got home was priceless, Valerie was so proud, the and the girls had never seen anything like it. The wind messed up the red carpet yesterday morning so I took the lights and put them around the doorways and staked out the candy canes. It took me, at most, 10 minutes.

I just saw a picture of me on the Mary Baldwin website. I am too fat. I have known this, I just have not had time to do anything (exercise) about it with everything else that is going on... I need to get on that now.Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15260117428119041785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1113767935196076705.post-56727456111596498202007-12-12T12:15:00.000-07:002007-12-12T12:15:00.000-07:00Thanks Crystal for sharing that. Becky is hoping for a little of that springlike weather. they have been without power for over 36 hours now. a lesson in preparedness. i was thinking about valerie today. how when i was shopping for her for christmas, some things just said to me--this is valerie!!! she is such a precious, unique person. i am so grateful for her addition to our family--and yours as well. it is such a blessing for matt to find someone like-spirited. what a wonderful mother you are to valerie. the party looks like it was a blast--and the runway!!! what an entrance for all those young girls. i too have felt so grateful for the multitude of blessings the Lord has given to us. this past year our cup runneth oer. did matt tell you--or did i tell matt--that colin has been offered an ER residency in cleveland? they are praying about it. congratulations again on finishing graduate school. you are awesome and i love you.
debbyDavid and Debbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18397313447137818213noreply@blogger.com
